My name is Kareem Ahmed, and I am a third-year dental student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. I am grateful and honored to be serving as the National SNDA Treasurer-Elect for the 2023-2024 year.
I am originally from Columbia, MD and went to the University of Maryland where I majored in Finance.
My original interests lied in consulting, and I worked at United Healthcare before pursuing dental school.
After deciding corporate America was not for me, it was SNDA that helped me find my passion in not only dentistry, but ultimately in serving and mentoring minorities. I attended numerous impressions days and loved the mission of SNDA.
I currently serve as the treasurer for my local SNDA chapter. I have been fortunate enough to have attended the last two national conferences in Orlando and New Orleans. It has been amazing connecting with all of you and hearing about your experiences at these conferences. This year I will work closely with the current Treasurer, KT Elle, to manage the finances of the organization. I hope to use my experiences to serve not only my fellow team members but all members of SNDA. Looking forward to creating a fantastic experience for you in Vegas next year!
