Greetings SNDA Family,

I am Dr. Akeadra Bell, a 2020 graduate of East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine, and your 2020-2021 Immediate Past President.  I am currently completing a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at Grady Health System in Atlanta, GA.  I am elated to be able to serve our organization for another year.  During my tenure on the national executive team, I have served as Corporate Roundtable Representative (2017-2018), President-Elect (2018-2019) and President (2019-2020).  Like many of you, the Student National Dental Association has been my home away from home and place to learn, grow and develop.

Since 1970, SNDA has been dedicated to increasing the presence of minorities in the dental field.  As Immediate Past President, I am dedicated to continuing to propel our organization to new heights, by actively advising the 2020-2021 executive board and working alongside the National Dental Association and National Dental Association Foundation to continue to bridge the gap. It is my goal to increase the number of SNDA members transitioning into NDA membership by increasing mentoring and networking opportunities, advocating for new dentist benefits and revitalizing programming for recent graduates.

We welcome your ideas, concerns and questions and look forward to hearing from you.

Together we are limitless and can achieve anything.

 Dr. Akeadra E. Bell
