The Student National Dental Association (SNDA) has established a scholarship in the name of Dr. Darryl A. Hawkins, a 1989 graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University College of Dental Medicine and a very active member of the SNDA. Dr. Hawkins died suddenly at the age of 27 from a cardiac arrhythmia on January 29, 1990 while jogging near his home in Marietta, Georgia. As a member of SNDA, he served as Director of Regional Coordinators for the year 1988-1989. Dr. Hawkins was a leader in the SNDA and we hope to commemorate his life through this scholarship.
Eligibility:
This scholarship is open to all SNDA members who are currently in their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year of dental school. Scholarship applicants should be in good academic standing, and show support for the initiatives and ideals of SNDA.
Thank you for your interest! This scholarship is closed for the 2020-2021 school year.
